FedLoan is one of the few contractors that the U.S. Department of Education hires to manage federal student loans. Since many students get their loan through FedLoan, it is normal for many of them to use their FedLoan accounts on a regular basis.
Having a FedLoan account also allows students to send and receive money directly to their accounts. One thing that prevents students from getting any money to their accounts is finding their own account number. Since FedLoan doesn’t work as a conventional bank account, it is normal to not be able to find it at first glance. Here is how you find your FedLoan account number.
Login to your FedLoan account and click on Account Summary. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should be able to spot your 10-digit account number.
Student Loan Account Number
Many students confuse the difference between a FedLoan account number and a student loan account number. These two are completely different. To find your student loan account number, you must log in to your Student Aid account by using FSA ID. To check your account number, do the following.
- Go to StudentAid.Gov.
- Click on Log In and enter your FSA ID and password.
- Enter the information to verify your identity and click submit.
From there, you’ll be able to view not only your student loan account number but anything related to your student loan. The information provided on StudentAid.gov is always going to be the most current information. If you spot any errors or mistakes on what’s provided on StudentAid.gov, contact the Department of Education.
